Zhytomyr State Technological University is a higher educational institution of the fourth accreditation level. It includes five faculties: the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, the Faculty of Information-Computer Technologies, the Faculty of Economics and Management, the Faculty of Mining and Ecology, the Faculty of Auditing and Finance.

So, today students of full-time and part-time forms of training study at ZSTU in 25 specialties. The total number of students is 4671. Highly qualified teaching staff of 22 departments train students at ZSTU. The teaching staff numbers 311 people. 35 teachers of the University have the degree of Doctor of Sciences and 153 the degree of Candidate of Sciences.

Scientific work at ZSTU gives perspective for professional development and teaching staff increase. ZSTU has Postgraduate and Doctoral school as well as special board of academics for defending Doctoral and Candidate Theses.

ZSTU provides international activity and has agreements about cooperation in the field of education and science with 85 foreign higher educational establishments from more than 30 countries. The university constantly participates in the international programs offered by EU. ZSTU has successfully completed 9 Tempus Projects and one Erasmus Mundus Project. The Erasmus+KA107 “International Credit Mobility” Project is currently in action with 13 EU universities. Also 1 Erasmus+/CBHE and 1 Marie Curie Projects are realized.

Department of Automobiles and Transport Technologies

The Department provides training of students by the specialties “Automobiles and Automobiles Management” and “Transport Technologies”. In the framework of curricula modernization 2 years ago the Specialization/Module “Intelligent Transport Systems” (ITS) was introduced within the motioned above specialties.

The Department has modern well occupied labs on ITS and Mechanics of Technical Systems. In 2014 the agreement (concerning development and improvement of service of city transport network including preparation of appropriate professional staff) between the University/Department and City Transport Directorate of Zhytomyr Municipality was signed.

Staff of the Department :

  • 2 Full Doctors Professors;
  • 8 PhD, Associated Professors;
  • 4 Senior Lecturers;
  • 2 Assistants.
